Here, in Oregon, we just go on-line to a state web site, input the company name or 'commercial business license number' and it will list if there have been any complaints and other vital information. I do this everytime I need work done and it's very helpful with my decisions.

The Better Business Bureau does NOT charge.

What you're hitting are bogus sites that are pretending to be the bbb.

You could CALL them and talk to a live human (which might be better anyway, as I 'm not sure how often they update their web site).

I'm pretty sure this is the real site:

Go to the Better Business bureau website. it will tell you how many complaints have been filed against a business, and if these complaints were resolved. BBB.COM or .org.
