I have an '06 Accord V6 with a 6 speed manual. I am looking into installing a cold air intake and exhaust to give me a little more ooomph. I am not going to race it, I just want a little extra power for personal pleasure when I am on an empty stretch of road. If I am a daily driver that doesn't really rev the engine would this mod kill my car? What should I be careful of?

No, the mod won't kill your car at all. They are very basic mods and usually the first thing people do. The power gains aren't that dramatic and you may even improve your gas mileage a bit.
After you install it just make sure to disconnect your battery for a couple minutes then reconnect it and let the car idle for 5 minutes so the computer can adjust to the changes.
You can also add an ECU chip for bigger gains.

Those are the first things I do to all of my cars then find a tuner to make full use of the more flow 20 horsepower or more for the intake and exhaust then 15 more just tuning the fuel injection. Predatior, Superchips , Mugen all have custom programers that finish up that you are starting. The extra $400 500 to tune the car is worth it.

You will get meager improvements with these modifications.

The loud exhaust will act as a cop caller and irritate your neighbors.

You would get much more bang for your buck by adding a nitrous oxide system.

You can get a good dry nitrous system through any on-line parts supplier from $300 - $500.

The changes you propose will only get you 15 to 20 more horse power and a little more torque. A dry nitrous system will get you 50 - 100 more horsepower. Even more if you are willing to risk breaking parts.

i own a repair shop, and it wont kill it ,but it may affect the warranty on it,, anytime you alter one under warranty it can effect the factory warranty on it,,id call the dealer first and ask them how much it would affect the warranty before i did anything to it,because you don't want to loose the warranty over something like this, but check it out before you do any of this to it,good luck,i hope this help,s.

No they wont cause you any problems.. they wont ruin your warranty either unless something goes into the engine because your high flow airfilter has a whole or ripped.
