Just wear an undershirt. Make sure you are not allergic, too. Be careful about washing a wool sweater like someone else said...most wool sweaters are dryclean only and you will ruin it.

I know the exact feeling! What I usually do is wash it in cold water before I wear it. That tends to reduce the static for some reason, and thus, less wool sticking out.

Get a shirt that separates you from the sweater or get a wool-blend.

wear an undershirt and put lotion on before putting the shirt on; if you are allergic to the wool a little Benadryl might be helpful, but don't take it if you need to drive or be super alert
