North Korea is rattling their sword in an attempt to blackmail the world for more economic aid. It is a poor and desperate country led by a complete lunatic. It is possible that they will start a war, but I hope not.
If you keep playing with a loaded gun the odds of it accidentally going off goes up. The Korean threats come from a country with one of the World’s largest standing armies. They are certainly ready and capable of starting a war.
PS. We have a mutual defense treaty with Japan. Any attack on Japan would be the same as an attack on America. The treaty includes the use of nuclear weapons to defend Japan. So, even though Japan does not have nuclear weapons we do—it would be very hard on North Korea to start bombing Japan.

Who is trying to start the war between the above mentioned countries? Who is "they?" And, I think, N. Korea is doing a good job of making trouble all on it's own despite warnings from neighboring countries as well as the UN.

No they are not. China is right next door to North Korea and full of the same Asian Communist. China already has Nukes, and are aligned with North Korea. That is why Bush does nothing about it all.

Look all any world leader wants is to stay in power for as long as possible and they don't care how many people they have to kill to do this. Uncle Kim saw what happened to Saddam because he didn't have the bomb. He who has the bomb writes the rules and stays in power.
