When we started trying, the OB/gyn that we consulted told us to have sex every other day for a year if younger than 35, for six months 35 and older before going to a fertility doc. So, no, I don't think you can have too much sex while you are trying to conceive, but it might be easier to conceive if you used an ovulation predictor kit. Also, when you have sex, you should lie on your back, legs slightly elevated for about ten to 15 minutes. When the fertility doc inseminated me, I always had to do that.

Docors recommend having sex every other day during the week you will be ovulating (best every 36 hours app.). I have also read that if you are up to it having sex every day during ovulation is even better. It does lower the sperm count a little but not enough to interfere with fertility as long as the male has a "normal" sperm count. However, if you have sex several times a day all the time that might risk lowering the sperm count too much.

We had sex everyday, but 2 days in my 2nd month ttc. Now i'm 6 weeks pregnant : ) So I don't think it is possible to have too much sex, however, everybody is different! All I know is that it took us 2 months, and we were successful. You could try everyother day too, they say that is the best thing to do. I also tracked everything from cm to bbt on mymonthlycycles.com. So good luck to you!

You betchya.

It takes 36-72 hours for a mans testicals to replenish his sperm count after intercourse. When you have sex more than every 2-3 days he ends up sending out row boats instead of battleships. Fewer sperm, less chance of getting pregnant.

The BEST thing you can do is to STOP trying to BE pregnant. And just have sex when you're in the mood. Being relaxed and enjoying sex is the BEST thing you can do to ensure you get pregnant.

Doing it five times a day is probably not beneficial. But I don't think it harms fertility in any way (otherwise it would be a legitimate form of contraception). It's not necessary to have sex more than once a day.

My hubby and I had sex everyday in out 2nd month TTC. Now I am 4w 5d pregnant. It just depends on your health and age. If you and your spouse are young and healthy then having sex everyday will not hurt you.

No, not at all. But make sure that you are following your ovulation so that you are able to conceive a lot easier. GOOD LUCK!!!

yeah, but no...Too much sex will only cause the sperm not to mature to their fullest causing fertilization to be a slow process, but a lot of sex is good...

there are reports that say yes and reports that say no, just make sure you have sex the 3 day before ovulation.

Only if your partner has a sperm issue. If he does it's best to do every other day so he can build up.
