I am currently studying abroad in Germany and I am bit apprehensive in finding a German doctor (My German is not the best in medical vocab!) for finding out why I have been feeling like this. About two weeks ago, I began to experience nausea and extreme fatigue. I also had a cough. However, now I only the feelings of being nauseated. I did vomit once from eating spicy foods, but that was all. I have adjusted to living in a new country so I am not anxious or stressed. I did had unprotected sex last month, but I'm know for a fact that I am not pregnant. I have tried some remedies to help my nausea such as drinking tea, but it always comes back everyday. So any suggestions on what could be the cause of my nausea or have more remedies to help alleviate my symptoms? Thanks!

There are so many things which could be the cause of persistent nausea and fatigue. If time and your remedies are not reducing the nausea, then it is probably time to see a doctor.

Try to find a doctor who speaks English, take a friend who can help translate, or hire a translator. If you are studying and living in Germany, I bet you will be able to make yourself understood...take a dictionary with you, and don't feel silly acting out your symptoms. I once had a woman who did not speak English bring a letter she wrote before arriving in the clinic outlining her problem, I'm not sure if she wrote it or had someone write it for her, but it was helpful to me...

So pluck up some courage, and go to the doctor. This is part of the adventure of living overseas :)

Feel better soon.

You may have blood pressure problems or trouble with fatigue.
But don't put off seeing a doctore because of language difficulties. Ask for a referral to an English-speaking doctor.

How is it that you know for a fact that you are not pregnant because you have all the classic symptoms. If that truly is the case then it sounds as if you have some type of virus or parasite. I understand your concerns about going to a German doctor not speaking fluent German. I would recommend finding someone who speaks fluent German and English that you can trust and take them along to your appointment. What you are experiencing is not normal unless you are pregnant.
