yes and no,,, The yes is that thay can get internet in the space station with out a wire running from earth to space. They use satlite commications. Infact thats the way all space station to earth comminations work. However, almost all the other wireless signals are to far away. Be it cell towers or the wifi WAPs, thier just to far away from the space station that they lose thier power as they spread out. Of cource, in a space station a person could set up a WAP that connects to thier satlite connection. So really it is to what degree you call a wireless connetion.

It is more than feasible to connect to the Internet from the space station. Of course they need special equipment (receiver and antenna) to get the satellite signal. This technology is available to anyone willing to pay a good monthly fee for a slow response connection (due to the distance issue).
The main reason Internet access would be blocked in the space station is security. For example, it could be more than unpleasant to lose navigational controls because of a virus caught on the Internet.

Even with the entrance of 802.11n and WWAN services which could increase the distance of the transmitter to get wireless connetion, it is vey unlikely you could get a wireless connection
The Space Station is about 240-400km above the Earth from all NASA posting information. Space shuttle would never be just 150m-500m (with manfacturer's technology specialty mode like Xtreme or SpeedBooster) above the Earth. 802.11n distance coverage is not ratified but it will not cover the distance to a space shuttle or space station.
The only other means is to utilize Satelitte service but the space shuttle or station needs a line of site for the satelitte's receptors (which is pointed downward and not upward to the space station or shuttle) for Satelitte Internet service. So the answer is no....
With all said, the answer is no

No. There is no ISP for outer space. First off you have to have a provider for your area. With a wireless connection you can only go so far from your HUB, or Router or whatever you're using to connect your internet. They actually sort of use a communication like internet though but it's nothing like ours.

Yes & No, Yes they have internet, but Via satellite, no Wireless is stuck within line of sight communcations. There has to be something close with in the area for it to connect to. I agree, they are connected via Nasa's mainframe, nuch faster and more sofisticated than ours by far
