How far in advance do people usually carve their pumpkin for Halloween?

Just a few days, depending on the climate conditions.
You can buy "pumpkin dip" to help preserve them; or rub vegetable oil over the exposed cut parts.

Too early to carve. Wait until just a day or two before Halloween and keep them in a cool place.

I have 2 but will not carve them until this weekend, if the weather is warm where you are they will decay fast its hard to say exactly how long they will last

Rub the outside with vegetable oil or PAM and it will easily make it to Halloween.

lol i hope awhile i carved mine last weekend. they look pretty cool i hope it doestn rot before hallooween!!!

depends on the temperature...but most look great for around a week--after that YIKES!!
