I love my parents more than life, but I rely on my best friend for everything (and vice-versa). I have never been able to talk to my parents and until I met my bff, I had a lot of issues beacuse I had no one to talk to. My point of view is you can choose your friends but u can't choose your parents... Its up to u whom u wanna look up to. But still if your parents are "good" (meaning providing u all the love, financial, moral support, etc) parents - they are more important than friends... but it doesn't mean you have to disengaged with your friends.
