i tried spray but it has not worked

Do they alsways stay on the plant? If they land on other surfaces in addition to the plant they sound like fungus gnats or shore flies. They result from overwatering. You have to spray for adults and let the soil dry completely out between waterings to try to kill the larvae in the pot/soil.

Flies become a nuisance when they enter homes. You can get rid of them by using pest control.

stick pads. Those fruit flies are really nasty. stick pads are the only way to catch them.
