Problems with My DVD drive?

I have a problem with my dvd rom drive, it plays cd's and games fine but as faras dvd's is concerned it plays some but not others and it even refuses to play dvd that it has played before dont get it any ID's

I have one that's doing the same thing...I think it may have been caused by the tray closing on a disc that wasn't properly inserted by accident.

You may have to replace the optical drive. If its a desktop get an external one its easy to configure, if its a laptop then you may have to contact the manufacturer for the optical drive.
