I know is South Carolina there is not a paper trail. And I am very outraged. Especially since these electronic machines are very easily manipulated. And for those who claim a peper trail would put pressure on the voter to vote the way the majority votes at their polling place is ridiculous. There has always, until recently, been a paper trail. And those votes would be counted by hand, not once, but several times.
And for those who keep claiming Democrats steal elections! Who is in power now. Not Democrats. And wasn't it Bush that was appointed to the Presidency by the Supreme Court in 2000. After a Republican led state, Florida, had disenfranchised thousands of voters!
Republicans have now had the majority in the Senate, the House, and the Presidency since 2000. Isn't it time Republicans quit blaming Democrats. Since 2000, Republicans could have and have done any and every thing they wanted, because there was not enough Democrats to win a vote in Congress. So start taking responsibility for your actions and stop blaming Democrats.

Your vote counts. and there is a paper trail.
For 6 plus years I have worked as a poll worker in my district in Philadelphia. Prior to all elections all Workers attend a training class on the machines and there operation. All machines are sealed prior to voting. All numbers are checked and recorded. The machines have a memory card & a paper tape. The Tape is used to record all write in votes. It also is used to print the returns ate the end of the night. Our machine print 7 copies. 1 for the Election commision, 1 for the election judge, 1 for the minorty party inspector, 2 for the party leaders, 1 to be posted for the public & one extra. As the a Inspector, I place my tape in a sealed Envelope for 1 year by law. Nobody is playing with the machines. If your guy lost? He lost......
If anything, your idea would screw up things. What if the paper runs out? What if it jams in the machine? How long till the repair guys comes? Most voters have no clue who they are voting for anyway. The party hacks outside hand them a sample ballot for the endorsed ticket. The rest vote for a name they like.... Most don't even read the simple instructions to work the things.

This, or different altered application could desire to nevertheless be there for the November election. of direction, the element is, with those machines there is not any thank you to coach that the pronounced vote counts mirror how the electorate voted.

If you have a paper trail then your vote in subject to being targeted for intimidation and coercion by specific groups. Your vote is private and personal. The fact that you sign the voters register is proof that you voted. It's not like you can take it back after you vote. People who think this are just victims of the liberals who still can't believe they lost two election. They would never consider that it was because of their lack of platform and any credible agenda. Wake up and smell the coffee, you are are the one who is being exploited.

Most people have a hard time understanding how to work the machines in the first place. Do you really think they would understand what 'paper trail' means?

Think the one I will be using does, and it made me feel slightly more secure, still not sure exactly how it works. They are very user friendly for write in votes. People went a little wild was only report heard. Never heard actual figures for one with first name that started with F and last name that started with Y. Testing got my vote for meaningless race.

There seems to be no complains about the machines so far, perhaps the majority of these voters don't know or aren't used to the newer technologies that these vote machines operate with.

They do have a paper trail. All you have to do is print out a copy of your vote.

As a Republican, I know my vote counts. A paper trail will only point a glaring spot light on Demorat voter fraud. So, why would you want one?
