How is Michael Irvin kept out of the HOF? I know its b/c of his off the field actions, but is that right? I say hell no, its not the Hall of Character its the Hall of Fame, its about what he did inside the white lines and what he did was dominate DB's and defenses in general. He was a great leader and a very important part in the trio of Irvin, Emmitt, and Aikman. He is deserving of the HOF...

Also, Skip Bayless says TO is not gonna even be considered for the HOF. How the eff does he figure that? There is not a single WR in the history of the NFL who had over 100 TD's not made it into the HOF. His statline as of date....

738 rec., 10812 yds, 105 TD's....he's only in his 11th season and he'll be 34 in Dec. That still gives him at least 2-3 more seasons after this one. He has over 1000 yds receiving in 6 of his 11 seasons (should be 7, suspended last year) and he's started at least 14 games in ALL of his seasons (exception last year he was suspended). He cant be left out

If Lawrence Taylor and others with questionable off and on the field behavior are in the Hall of Fame then TO and Irvin should considered and inducted into the Hall of Fame also.

wcbasebal.. Skip Bayless doesn't have a clue!

Michael Irvin isn't "being kept out of the HOF"...keep in mind, he's only been elligible for a year or two, and just because he didn't make first ballot HOF doesn't mean that he won't enter the hall eventually.

The main argument against TO is the dismantling of the Eagles after their super bowl year. That being said, i think a large factor in his consideration for the hall will be how he does in Dallas. With a great few seasons and no blowups, people will be more inclined to vote him into the HOF after he retires. If he dismantles the cowboys the way he did to the niners and eagles and almost the ravens, no one will vote him in. Lawrence Taylor was a champion, TO hasn't been yet.

Many players don't make it on the first year of eligibility. Especially those with character issues. He obviously wasn't better thsn anyone that was inducted last year to beat them out.
Do you really want to link Irvin to what he did with "white lines"?
I was at his last game. He deserved the embarassment of his injury being cheered.
As for TO F him...where was he against the Eagles. He's irrelavant. The NFL is the ultimate team game. TO is the ultimate "me" player...he doesn't belong in the hall.
The voters hold a very high standard. The usually don't want to involve those with such a questionable history. They don't usually deserve the honor.

Skip Bayless is an complete idiot, just like Woody. I like watching Mike & Mike because they keep it real. Skip and Woody have their own little favorites and keep bragging on them and keep hating on people they don't like.
You are right, it is not the Hall of Character, but it is also not the Hall of Performance. It's the Hall of Fame, and I think the overall person should be evaluated. Sure, Irvin, and T.O. belong in it, but I can see why voters don't really want them in. I believe they should give them a second chance. I think Irvin is doing wonderful thinks for ESPN now, and I really like how he sticks up for T.O. I don't think T.O. destroyed the Niners or Eagles. They just didn't appreciate him.

The biggest snub? James Arthur Monk! Statistically has had a better career than any WR in the Hall Of Fakes. Except maybe Michael Irvin. Who is about even with Monk. Or maybe the snub of Gary Clark. whose number in the regular season, and post season are better than Lynn Swanns and he can't even get on a ballot.

TO might be a weirdo but has he ever commited a crime or got caught snorting coke?? All he does is perform then bashes his teamates. As long as Andy Reid and Bill Parcells are not a HOF voters then TO will make it
