Beer Pong or Beirut ?

Does it really make a difference, and why is it that much of a deal what it is called?

i always call it beer pong...but a lot of my friends say beirut. their explanation is that beer pong is played w/ ping pong paddles to hit the ball into a cup. beirut is throwing the ball into the cup. i play by throwing the ball in the cup...but i think most people use the term beer pong.

I think Beer Pong would be more PC, especially if you are playing with someone who happens to be Lebanese. Other than that, it makes no difference.
