The man in charge of hiring me this year for my position came in and said, "I've recieved several emails about how much of a joy you are, and how you do a great job here!." I go, "Wow, thank you! That makes my day better. I told you I wouldn't let you down." And he goes, "Nope, you are not letting me down."

Score one for me. I knew I would be amazing at this job!!
I just wanted to brag a little! Comment, 2 points for you! Maybe 10 with the kindest words :)

P.s. I'm a school librarian.

WOOHOO!!! A job is just a "job" but when you get praised for doing a great job it makes it feel more than just a job! WAY TO GO!!! This will help you continue to do your job to the fullest and knowing that you're such a joy to others will keep your attitude just as that and you'll want to continue being that joy!
I know it feels so good when someone compliments you and makes you feel WORTHY!
You go girl!

A school librarian is more important than most people realize. Your attitude toward students and books may shape more lives than you can ever be aware of.

It is difficult to deal with: students, their parents, the teachers, the prinicpal, the administration, the book vendors, and all the rest. You must be talented on many different levels.

And this brings up how important words like this are to employees. I have had so many crappy bosses, it is hard to count. You should also be happy you found a good boss, who knows this.

Contratulations!

Keep up the great work. I know when I get little compliments like that from my boss that it makes my day. We have what are called "Woohoos" here at my work where we go on our intranet site where anyone can give other employees recognition, and if you collect so many at our quarterly meeting you get special recognition. I have 6 so at our next meeting i'll get special recognition which i'm looking forward to, and i've only been here 7 months. =) (supposedly it is pretty hard to get 6 of these so quickly) Congratulations again!

everyone needs a compliment. It really means something when it is not an empty compliment. All I can say is keep up the good work, always try to improve, never be satisified with your performance. Sounds like you are on a great track on these and stay goal orientated...... good job

You make me remember my late Father in law who had a Masters Degree in English,& Hindi and a Diploma in Library Science and worked in Govt of India,Dept of Home Affairs.
He had a library of over 2000 books of great authors.
To see his Study room was a delite to the only 2 eyes,I wish I had a body full of eyes.
He was a Librarian also in one of the best universities in India.
I think he is reborn as you,
May God bless you to climb the ladder of sucses soon..
GOOD LUCK.
