Basically, it is all just words. Peace and order have always been the call of the oppressor, and they say that anyone going against that "order" that they have set up (which is only in place to preserve their own power) is a terrorist. But they call themselves the protector of the people.

Freedom and independence has always been the call of the terrorist. They are fighting the tyranny of the oppressive regime they say. But they call themselves freedom fighters.

It is all nothing more than a propaganda war. In history in every civilization there has always been three groups--the High, the Middle, and the Low. The High have the power and usually use it to oppress; the Middle want the power and are always scheming to take it. The Low want equality among all people, but are oftentimes too worried about their own problems to see how to make equality. The Middle usually use words like freedom and independence and equality to convince the Low to join them and overthrow the High. After they accomplish this, they then make themselves the High and then push the Low back down and begin oppressing them themselves.

Soon thereafter a new middle arises from either the new High or the Low or sometimes from both and the whole process begins anew. We must see past this propaganda from both sides if we are to stop this process at all, but stopping this process is practically impossible because there is always someone trying to rise above the rest to take over and begin the pendulum swing again.
