I have been given a piece of material and need to make a winter coat out of it (with lining etc). Can anyone recommend someone for the job? I live in London SW18 so somewhere close would be prefereable. Not a millionnaire so won't be able to afford Central London. Thank you

Might be worth taking the material down to Portobello and Spitafields market and asking one of the designers around there. Portobello is best and busiest on a Friday, Spitafields - go on a Sunday if you can. Tell them your budget before they have a chance to oversell themselves!

try the local college, are they running any design courses, and if so find a 2nd or 3rd year student that might be able to accommodate as part of there course work.
