I have actually done years of study on this....
I have compared hundreds of girls cycles charted out on graphs including years and several pregnancies of my own...and my best conclusion is most brands "early" hpt can start to show a faint line 9-10 days after conception. Which could be approximately 4-5 days before your missed period. The info varies however due to every woman having different hormone levels.

Accurately, you should wait until you've missed your period. And if you can hold off, you should wait a few days after you're missed period. However, some tests claim to be able to detect pregnancy as early as 4-5 days before your period is due. I would be cautious about those though, because every woman is different and it can take a while for your body to begin producing the pregnancy hormone. Try to wait if you can, it will give you a more accurate and reliable answer. Good luck!

From past experiences, I believe that the soonest a pregnancy test will show positive is 2 weeks after conception. I've always been told that you can get pregnant either two weeks before or after your mentrual cycle. Hope this helps you.

I bought a early detection test on Friday just gone ( 3 days early) and it came out negative, did one today a day late and its positive so i'd probably wait till your late to get an accurate result and make sure u do it in the morning with your first trip to the loo!
Good Luck
