You may think it is blowing a fuse, because coincidentally, your lights are going out. The blinker starts to flash rapidly to let you know a bulb is out somewhere on your car. It's amazing how many people don't know this. I am 38 years old, and just found out last year! :)

It isn't a parallel circuit but a series/parallel circuit. The flasher bimetallic strip is also a resistance and is in series with the parallel bulbs. For simplicity draw it out and make the three units 10 ohms each. Since the bulbs are in parallel that leg would be equivalent to 5 ohms so the circuit resistance would be 15 ohms. In Ohms law I=E/R so 12/15 gives 0.8 amps of current through the flasher. If one bulb opens the circuit now becomes simply a series circuit with 20 Ohms of resistance which would give you a current of 0.6 Amps through the flasher. Less current causes slower heating and therefore slower flashing.

Usually that means a bulb is burnt out. When a bulb goes, all the power is transfered to the next bulb make it go faster.
If no bulbs are out then you might have a defective blinker/flasher switch. This is a type of fuse that regulates the current flowing to the bulbs and is essentially what makes it blink. Most auto parts stores carry them

Yep, the others are correct. One of your lights are out. The signal light inside blinks faster when you need to replace a bulb outside.

Drawing extra current through a signal light flasher will make the lights blink faster. Since you are also blowing fuses, I suspect a short-circuit in your wiring.

I've had that happen too. One of you're signal lights must be out.. You can go to a local parts store, and they will change it for you..
