Tribbles on Star Trek were born pregnant and it just seemed like such a good idea. Of coarse the planet would fill up pretty quickly and we'd have to move to Jupiter, but we could get so much more done if the men weren't thinking about sex every 10 secs. right?

The whole point of two-gender reproduction is to allow for the sharing of genetic information in order to create offspring that are the best of both parents, that correct for posible genetic defects in one, and that can better adapt to the environment. We are a lot more complicated than tribbles. One-gender reproduction, like fission, is for lesser organisms, and would result in identical clones of the original parent. That is not useful.

There would be no gamet variety and no genetic pool distribution. If the patterns of the environment were to change we would die, as evolution could not take place

you know...the fun isnt getting preg...the the act of doing it thats fun- so youd kill of all the fun in the world and we would be mindless baby making drones with dull lives! That would suck. And men arent the only ones who think about sex....god that guy was hot.....lol......if only i wasnt taken...lol.....
