Adware:
Adware is considered to go beyond the reasonable advertising that one might expect from freeware or shareware. Typically a separate program that is installed at the same time as a shareware or similar program, adware will usually continue to generate advertising even when the user is not running the origianlly desired program.
Spyware:
Any software that covertly gathers user information through the user's Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else.
Shareware:
Computer software developed for the public domain, which can be used or copied without infringing copyright. Programmers typically get paid a small one time fee from users who find the software useful.
Freeware:
Software that is available free of charge for personal use.
Adware and spyware are not programs to prevent unwanted ads etc on your computer. These are anti-spyware and anti-adware utilities.

Addware is software that shows advertising on your screen that is not related to normal web site advertising such as a window that opens unexpectedly with advertising information showing.
Spyware is hidden software that can gather information from your computer and send it to some remote site. Cookies are a simple type of spyware but they are not really hidden.
Shareware is free trial software that you may get from a CD promotional package or by downloading from the Internet. The limits of the free trial may be a timeout, a nag screen that asks you to buy each time you launch the application, some limit of features such as non-save ability after creating a document or just an honor suggestion that you should send payment to the creator or stop using it out of fairness.
Freeware is free software.
Many people complain about the first two types but do nothing to block them. You should start by choosing a good browser. Internet Explorer is not one of the good ones as it is full of security holes. You should use the firewall feature of your operating system. You should use a router as an additional level of separation from the bad guys on the web. You should never open an email message from anyone you don't know. You should never click on an attachment in email unless you know who created the actual file and you need the file.

Adware is software you use that is supported by advertising for related and unrelated products as part of the software. It may generate pop-up windows or it may just have some banner ads as part of it.
Spyware is software that tries to document the websites you visit and, in extreme cases, will monitor keystrokes you make on your keyboard. It definitely is not good to have spyware on your computer if you value your privacy so get a good anti-spyware package.
Shareware is software that the developer has made available for free, usually for a limited period of time or without full functionality. You are usually requested to send a donation to the developer for the use of this software and it is good to do so if you use their software.
Freeware is software that is provided by a developer for free. I've found that most "freeware" is actually "adware".

Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertising material to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used.
spyware
In the field of computing, the term spyware refers to a broad category of malicious software designed to intercept or take partial control of a computer's operation without the informed consent of that machine's owner or legitimate user. While the term taken literally suggests software that surreptitiously monitors the user, it has come to refer more broadly to software that subverts the computer's operation for the benefit of a third party.
share ware
Shareware is a marketing method for commercial software, whereby a trial version is distributed in advance and without payment, as is common for proprietary software. Shareware software is typically obtained free of charge, either by downloading from the Internet or on magazine cover-disks. A user tries out the program, and thus shareware has also been known as "try before you buy", demoware, trialware and by many other names. A shareware program is accompanied by a request for payment, and the software's distribution license often requires such a payment. Payment is often required once a set period of time has elapsed after installation. The term shareware was coined by Bob Wallace to describe his word processor PC-Write in the mid-1980s.
freeware
Freeware is copyrighted computer software which is made available for use free of charge, for an unlimited time, as opposed to shareware where the user is required to pay (e.g. after some trial period).
The only criterion for being classified as "freeware" is that the software must be made available for use for an unlimited time at no cost. The software license may impose one or more other restrictions on the type of use including personal use, individual use, non-profit use, non-commercial use, academic use, commercial use or any combination of these. For instance, the license may be "free for personal, non-commercial use." There is some software that may be considered freeware, but that have limited distribution; that is, they may only be downloaded from a specific site, and they can not be redistributed. Hence, these software wouldn't be freely redistributable software. According to the basic definition, that software would be freeware; according to stricter definitions, they wouldn't be. Everything created with the freeware programs can be distributed at no cost (for example graphic, documents, waves made by user).

Its Adware for the first one, which means software or a programme to prevent advertisement from popping up and getting viruses into your computer as you visit the internet.
Spyware is another software or programme that prevents more powerful viruses like trojan horse or other that attack your computer and actually get to use your information like your IP address and all valuable informations.
Shareware is when you share a simple software or programme with other people. It may be unlimited software or a 30-days limitation software.
As for freeware, you should know. Freeware is software or programmes that you can download absolutely for free from the interenet. Just like shareware, it could be a totally free software or a 15 or 30 days trial mode software.
Hope all this informations help.

Spyware: Any software that covertly gathers user information through the user's Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. (source: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/spyware.html)
Adware: (1) A form of spyware that collects information about the user in order to display advertisements in the Web browser based on the information it collects from the user's browsing patterns.
(2) Software that is given to the user with advertisements already embedded in the application. (source: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/A/adware.html)
Shareware: Software distributed on the basis of an honor system. Most shareware is delivered free of charge, but the author usually requests that you pay a small fee if you like the program and use it regularly. By sending the small fee, you become registered with the producer so that you can receive service assistance and updates. You can copy shareware and pass it along to friends and colleagues, but they too are expected to pay a fee if they use the product.
Shareware is inexpensive because it is usually produced by a single programmer and is offered directly to customers. Thus, there are practically no packaging or advertising expenses.
Note that shareware differs from public-domain software in that shareware is copyrighted. This means that you cannot sell a shareware product as your own. (source: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/shareware.html)
Freeware: Copyrighted software given away for free by the author. Although it is available for free, the author retains the copyright, which means that you cannot do anything with it that is not expressly allowed by the author. Usually, the author allows people to use the software, but not sell it. (source: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/F/freeware.html)
There is one more. Even though it wasn't in your question, it merits a mention. The infamous Microsoft "vaporware" (or any other company who wants to divert attention form competitors to themselves).
Vaporware: A term used to describe a piece of software that doesn't exist, is suspected not to exist, or is incapable of performing as promised. It is not uncommon for a software corporation to make fantastic promises as to the functionality of an upcoming software release that ultimately prove to be undeliverable. In the software industry, there is often something of a yin/yang relationship between marketing efforts and technical capabilities. (source: http://www.scotsmist.co.uk/glossary_v.html)

Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertising material to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used.
Adware is software integrated into or bundled with a program. It is usually seen by the programmer as a way to recover programming development costs, and in some cases it may allow the program to be provided to the user free of charge or at a reduced price. The advertising income may allow or motivate the programmer to continue to write, maintain and upgrade the software product.
Some adware is also shareware, and so the word may be used as term of distinction to differentiate between types of shareware software. What differentiates adware from other shareware is that it is primarily advertising-supported. Users may also be given the option to pay for a "registered" or "licensed" copy to do away with the advertisements.
While the term taken literally suggests software that surreptitiously monitors the user, it has come to refer more broadly to software that subverts the computer's operation for the benefit of a third party.
In simpler terms, spyware is a type of program that watches what users do with their computer and then sends that information over the internet. Spyware can collect many different types of information about a user. More benign programs can attempt to track what types of websites a user visits and send this information to an advertisement agency. More malicious versions can try to record what a user types to try to intercept passwords or credit card numbers. Yet other versions simply launch popup advertisements.
Everything created with the freeware programs can be distributed at no cost (for example graphic, documents, waves made by user).
There are many variations on the freeware model. Freeware is an umbrella term which can include loss leaders (in the form of crippleware). The freeware definition can encompass public domain software (where the programmer has no rights to the software) or free software, and proprietary or shareware with its more restrictive licensing. Programmers who release freeware often want to "give something to the community", but also want credit for their software and to retain control of its future development. Often, when programmers decide to stop developing a freeware product, they will give the source code to another programmer or release the product's source code to the public.
Freeware contrasts with free software, because of the different meanings of the word "free". Freeware is gratis and refers to zero price, versus free software that is described as "libre", which means free to study, change, copy, redistribute, share and use the software in any purpose. However, many programs are both freeware and free software. They are available for zero price, provide the source code and are distributed with free software permissions. This software would exclusively be called free software to avoid confusion with freeware that usually does not come with the source code and is therefore proprietary software.
