if Saddam was back in power still think that after reading this story?

If so, they are so blinded by their hatred for Bush and their desire to regain power that they will do or say anything, and that's just sad.

kreevich- well I'd say that the millions that voted for the first time would disagree with you, but I guess that's not good enough for you. War is never a clean process that results in no un-wanted casualties. It's people that believe the way you do that would have us speaking German right now and looking at the Jewish culture as something from history.

Bill-That number is crap, it's a future estimate based on the statistical increase comparing the number of death prior to the war and after it's start. Your own link shows that the actual deaths are less than 50k, you might want to read your links more thouroughly, read from the link it says, "estimate":

"The estimate, far higher than the figures produced by other groups including the Iraqi government, was calculated by randomly sampling homes containing 12,800 individuals across Iraq and checking death certificates.

The British-based Iraq Body Count research group, which collects local and agency press reports of killings, says there have been between 43,850 and 48,700 civilians killed as a result of military intervention. "

I think many believe that the US would be better off with Saddam in power instead of being in a war. The days when Democrats marched in the streets to stop genocides around the world are long gone. Sad really.

Approximately 650,000 more Iraqis have lost their lives since the start of the war than would have died if the occupation had not occurred, according to new research.
The estimate of between 43,850 and 48,700 is taken from press reports do you think that that every death that occurs is reported in the press
The technique that American and Iraqi epidemiologists used is known as “cluster sampling” and is used to estimate mortality in famines and following natural disasters are you saying the figures for them are all vastly wrong.
I see no mention in this article that says that it is a future estimate.

No one thinks Iraq would be better off under Saddam, but there is no doubt that America would be better of if we were not involved in a war that is killing young Americans every day and is solving nothing. Iraqis continue to kill each other at a rate greater than under Saddam, and there is nothing we can do about it.

What passable connection is there between that story and a persons political affiliation.

quote
"The funny thing is they themselves have not done any real research on any of the topics. They are just parroting what their socialist leaders have told them to say. "

Talk about the pot calling the kettle,,,,,,,,,,, damn can't say that either

quote
"If we did exactly what they asked theyd still condem us for doing it."

Yet another pot

Can probablly put up 100 links where Replublicans have pandered to the radical consertive base instead of just three

Actually, more people are dying now than did under Saddam. He kept order, and perhaps their culture is at such a level that they require a heavy hand. Now the country is in disorder. So in what sense are they better off?

Hey idiot, why can't you answer any questions about 9/11 being an inside job. I know, it is because you are in a state of denial and can't, because there are no answers. You really need to wake up.

I love how people on this thread think that others who don't agree with them can't think for ourselves and do research. That is priceless.

What's sad is resorting to profanities to get a point across. It sounds very angry. Let go, let go............
