Anyone know how to get black magic marker off of a tan carpet? Its just a few marks, but I'm scared to try to rub it out and make it worse. Will steam cleaning the carpet work? My 4 yr old found a new toy....

What you need to do with this stain is use a solvent type product. Since you don't have the professional stuff try using orange glo or even 409. The most important thing to do is rinse the stain with a wet vac to remove all the reside, or the spot may come back.

You should try to find "Vanish", it's in a pink bottle and it cleans everythink. It's international so don't worry. Don't try steam cleaning it couse' it will make it worse. You can also try anti-bacterial soap. I know it sounds strange, but it realy works!
I hope your carpet will clean up!

Believe it or not, hair spray. Spray it directly on the ink and wipe it with a rag before the spray dries. Repeat this several times and the ink will come up, especially if the ink is fresh.

finger nail polish remover just put it on the spot, and blot it don't rub.
