Pain is an alarm system that lets the brain know that something is happening to the body that isn't normal. Messages are sent through the nerves in order for the body to protect itself and move away from the source of the attack. So a) maybe you didn't hurt yourself this time, b) With the added adrenaline the pain signal may have been buried or c) The fact that you were having more pleasure may have negated the pain signals. You brain may have assessed the situation and decided that the pain was unnescessary and stopped the signals

It was most likely to be adrenaline. I've injured myself a few times over the years and generally if I leap back up right away and jump on the bike again I can continue as if nothing happens. After an hour or two the bruises come up though.
With major injury the body can go into shock and you often do not feel pain from the injury initially. Both times I have dislocated a knee and when suffering a major laceration I have felt no pain initially but have been in agony after 30 minutes or more.

Pain is both subjective and objective. It exists as nerve fibres send signals to the brain and spinal cord but our interpretation of those signals is dependant on numerous factors, including state of mind, cultural background, and current physical activity.
It is possible to create pain symptoms without any nerve fibre deformation or stimulus, and research has shown that if you expect something to hurt it will hurt more.
Patients were told that a particular stimulus would be painful and then guage the amount of pain suffered. Despite the stimulus being only a simple prod with a small blunt instrument, the majority reported that the stimulus was painful.
Another group were told the same stimulus would not be painful and they repoted that is was not painful at all.
Curious.
If you were focussed on the trick, your mind was not on how much the fall would hurt.
Keep practicing!

Pain is just your brain's perception of what is happening to your body. It is subjective, the way that you feel pain is different that the person next to you and for the same event, two people will have two different "pain opinions". Many things can alter how pain is percieved by your brain, including adrenaline, "fight or flight" type response, or being mentally or physically distracted.
Is it mind over matter, or adrenaline? The answer can be yes to both!
Good luck in trying to land that trick the next time.

Pain exists, but a lot of pain is fear. If you are focused on something else it will keep you calm and distracted, so you don't subjectively experience pain to the same extent. Also, adrenaline numbs pain initially. That's how people can get up and keep playing with broken limbs, only to be in agony once the adrenaline wears off.

Pain is a physical reality but it can be overcome by the mind. Case in point, the placebo effect - giving someone a sugar pill and telling them it's a painkiller reduces their pain. Scientists are proving all the time that our minds can control pain.

It isnt mind over matter, it is, as you suggest the result of adrenaline. It overides the pain impulses, but will only work for a short time.

Well, the term pain can be subjective, but there are real activities along nerve pathways when tissue is damaged, like when you fell.
Have a look in wikipedia, they have an interesting article on pain.

Likely it was adrenaline. The whole point of pain is to tell you that your body has been damaged (and therefore worth listening to!). But I do believe that you can train yourself to not react as badly to the pain.
