There was also supposed to be some grand statue paying tribute to GW Bush. Where is that? Oh, that's right. They don't want us there.

My friends who have spoken with many Iraqis asked them the same question, and here are the two reasons most Iraqis gave:
1) They thought we would go in, screw them over, and desert them, much the same way they felt we did during the first Gulf War.
2) Many were afraid, because of the propaganda they were indoctrinated with, that we were coming in just to take over.

Many have changed their minds. Did you see the footage, when the statue of Hussein was toppled in the market square in Baghdad, Iraqis were kissing our soldiers? Have you seen the "thank you" signs that Iraqis hold up when they're driving around?

I imagine not. Most people ignore those.

Well, they were in a way. Most of the Iraqis liked the Americans in the initial invasion. After the occupation that is still in effect and the failed policies of Bush, the Iraqi people are tired and want their country back.

They were. Just because the media doesn't show it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Of 25,000,000 Iraqis, only a couple thousand are insurgents.
Of 14 provinces, only 3 have any violence.

The vast majority of Iraqis are glad we got rid of Saddam and are thankfull. Only a tiny, tiny minority are insurgents, but they get all the attention.

The truth shall set you free...but only if you are willing to accept it.

But they were! Almost two dozen Iraqis who were flown in from Detroit the night before welcomed them as liberators. The rest of the country wishes we'd go home!

What? You don't think we were greeted as 'liberators'?
