You odviously don't follow politics or you would know that the Democratic party do more for blacks than blacks do for themselves. Get over it.

one of the great things about being a liberal is that we aren't all brainwashed to think the same thing. The Democrats can disagree within their own party and still work things out whereas the republicans have a one track mind and refuse to stray from that.. failure to accept alternatives is failure to realize that we are human and make mistakes, and that a better answer lies out there. That's one of the reasons I'm a democrat, because i believe in the power to admit there may be a better way, unlike many (but not all) republicans.

As an African-American; I'm inclined to believe based upon recent events that our issues have been placed on the back burner with other important issues related to all American citizens. Its not a question as much about the Democrats; as they don't posses the political party size in the House/Senate as does the GOP. It was shameful as to how the Republican Party handled the Katrina catastrophe. I've spoken with people around the world and their view was it was racist. Therefore; I believe the Democratic Party does more than the GOP; yet neither have the best interest at heart for the Afro-Americans in general.

It's not a matter of the Democratic Party doing more for Black people. It IS a matter of them knowing that they cannot expect ANYTHING AT ALL from an economic elitist, Social Darwinist party like the Republicans. One that Southern segregationists quit the Democratic Party to join.

Although I think the libs pander to the blacks for votes I defy anyone to show me exactly what positive thing the libs have actually done for the blacks. Welfare has made them lazy and decimated the family unit. AA has made them racists themselves-not that they weren't before-and civil rights are a mirage. Until blacks stand up and take some personal responsibility and stop fathering children out of wedlock, abandoning the children they have made, forming and perpetuating gangs and destroying their own neighborhoods their situation is not going to improve, no matter who they vote for.

the democrats spend bllions on programs to create government jobs , and this allows blacks to get ahead .They take jobs as teachers, police, fire ,garbage ,janitors at schools ,and government offices ,trash collection ,road crews , parks department ,sewage ,and water treatment plants,and they all have a white boss paid more who went to college .
While lots of blacks have made some progress many are left behind .
An eduction system that is designed to create managers and people with knowledge more suited for dinner convesation them work .
I think those of us with an education can see the simple truth thats infront of us .JOB training is what people need not an education .After the 8th grade when students can read write add subtract and do simple calculations to determine the area of a triangle or circle and balance a check book what more does one need unless going into a special field .
This is why we need to over hall the education system and provide real job training in ;building ,wharehousing ,auto repair and manufacture , prepare people to enter the market with a skill or several skills .Not everyone is going to be a rocket scientist or should be allowed to go to college .In fact less then ten % should go .This does no mean you are stupid or dum but that your role in the community is to work so that others may some day solve our common problems .We need less lawyers and engineers and business majors and more scientists and biologists .If my biologist does not know who walt whittman was or plato or samuel adams and finds a cure for cancer it would not bother me that brain matter was not wasted by filling it with none-sense others had done .
We have never been able to learn from the past so far so what business is it to teach leasons we have not learned from .
The basic's are agriculture for food and standards for building structures to dwell in .Rome had aqua ducts and whn rome fell so did the technology .Indoor plumbing returned thousands of years later .What was up with that .Bathing in water a bad thing .LET's for once agree that we only need food shelter and clothing to protect us from the enviroment we live in .SHoes are nice but look at the african distance runners who do it bare foot .
The roads are swept and wahed in boston each year for the Marathon . If we where cleaner people and did not toss our glass containers out windows may be shoes would be optional .
So lets get a grip on reality once and for all democrats and republicans are out to line the own pockets and increase the amount of power and attention they get from those around them .
Thats it and nothing more .They have solved nothing and done nothing for to long .We still have abortion religion gun control death penelty and other problems like gays adoption family values that are all part of the smoke screen to divert our attention from what is going on .They spend 10,million to get a job that pays only 250,000 or less a year .I would say if a man payed 3,000,000 for a job as a trash cllector at 30,000 a year he is a fool .Somehow we embrace this idiocy among our politicians .We all know that what they will do makes them back every penny and then some in a short time .
They work in families to run everything .Cousin bill needs start up capitol and contracts to make millions so i will get elected and the whole family will benefit .With government contracts and work that will continue for decades .Once you have your foot in the door and as laws get changed you are in for life and others are kept out .
Learn that the people are not served by the government any-longer but serve the government .Our jobs pay and well being are all controlled by those with money and power .
You have little choice except to break out of the mold and seek your own fortune .
With less then1% of people trying and of those only 1% making it most all of us are destine to reproduce eat sleep work pay lots of taxes and die no better off then where we started .
