What is the maximum age to enroll in college?

Most of my friends go straight to college after graduating high school. I want to work as a fashion model first but afraid I would be too old to go to college after I finished my career.

I hear the average age is 18-22. What if I enroll around the age of 27? would that be too old?

There is no maximum age to enroll in college. It's upto you when you want to study and when you don't.

If you want to work as a fashion model after graduating high school, go right ahead. You can always come back to finish your education later.

Hahaha! "Finish" your career! You plan to do this job for 8 or 9 years and then go to college? Interesting; like learning to play chess then playing checkers with the chess pieces...

First of all, careers generally don't end until you retire or die. Secondly, College is best approached straight out of high school because it's one of the only times you will be willing to do it, partially due to anxiety/stress from your concern (being "too old" for college) but also because everything you learned from high school is still fresh in your mind. That being said, you're NEVER too old to go to college, you just won't actually end up doing it.

It is very easy, at least right now, for you to say that you will work for a while, then just go back to college like it's no big deal. But think about it, when you're making $$$ and you have bills to pay, you're not going to want to spend FOUR or FIVE years of your life going to college if your career is doing well. On top of that, theres no specific time for you to do it, so when that 8 years rolls around and you say "just 1 more year" and then, next year, say "1 more year" until eventually it will be easy for you to say "forget college" when you are 40.

Just something to think about; I know that any aged person can go to college, but it is much easier to ACTUALLY GO and succeed if you go straight out of high school. Not much point in building a career then going to school for something else; your career is generally dependent on how much time you put into the job, so if you keep switching jobs you won't make as much money.

There is no maximum age. I know someone who started college at age 40.

There's no such thing as too old to go to college. You might, however, get some weird looks if you want to live in a dorm.
