why do you think conservatives have no emotion? if i want to give to the poor, let me give it my way, since i dont trust the government with my tax money. just because someone doesnt want to give taxes, it doesnt mean he doesnt want to give! the government is horribly inefficient, no matter what party controls it. it would be more efficient to let people give directly to organizations if they want, and not be forced into giving through the terrible government and letting THEM decide where it goes. you accuse us of being greedy as well, not all of us are rich you know! i dont have millions of dollars. i dont even have a million dollars.

Giving to charity is very noble. But most charities don't seem to concentrate on the needs of America's poor. Even our own welfare systems seems to miss the mark.
Every day I pass a poor neighborhood on the way to work. During the winter, I have spotted children standing at the corner waiting on a school bus in freezing weather without a proper coat or no coat at all. The neighborhood is a high drug area, and I assume the parents of these children are spending aid money on other things. I don't know if that is true or not. But every winter, I stop at K Mart and buy these kids coats myself.
I've made it a habit now to keep a few coats in the car during the winter to give to a child.

Both the liberals and the conservatives have a bad habit of judging each other. Remember that.
Other than that, I agree with you.
The fact of the matter is, both far-left liberals, and far-right conservatives are some of the most narrow-minded people on earth. It's easier for them to judge, rather than find the good in the people on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Because if the liberals leave it up to you to give, it will take longer for them to create the socialist state they are longing to build. This will also cut into the support for the modern slave population that they have been so successful in creating.
