I'm 25 and I'm still struggling with money and finances and I'm just wondering if anyone else ever gets frustrated with the never ending tunnel of dark...Where's the light? I have a good job, I'm working on the side as an Independant Consultant but the money just isn't coming in! Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

There's always ways to make a little bit of extra money... I do little things like take surveys online and I get a hundred dollars every other month or so for that... Also, I'd recommend you getting a book on saving in your 20's and 30's... I bought the 'complete idiots guide' for that, and it's pretty helpful. Yes, I'm a complete idiot. :) I guess the hardest thing to do is to tell yourself that you really don't need that new stereo or those new shoes... and you should put it in savings instead...

don't feel too bad, I'm 38 and broke all the time, I have 2 kids and I feel bad when we go someplace and they want things and I don't have the extra $$$ to get it for them. I live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes less than that. The cost of living is more than the average paycheck and I feel so frustrated that I can never get out of this rutt unless I can win the lottery, sucks big time.

When I was 25 I was in the same predicament. I'm not going to give my age but I will say it has doubled +. I see light at the end of the tunnel. But that's about as close as I have come. I'm not in dept, Thank God, but I do live from pay check to pay check. I learned a long time ago, to make it in this world, you have to live "Below" your means, not within your means. In other words, if you make $40,000.00 a year. Then allow yourself $30,000.00 a year. Put the extra $10,000.000 in savings or invest it, make it work for you. It makes a nice little nest egg, and emergency fund. Good luck. OH, and don't forget to thank our good Lord for your good paying job. Some people don't even have that! Always remember.... "It could be worse".

hunny even the richest ppl seem to think they never have enough... what quantifies as enough? it does suck though to be having to live month to month waiting on a paycheck, wish i could tell you that it will end soon, but the more money we make, the less we have because our expenses seem to grow at a higher rate than we can make the money to pay for our lifestyles!

Yes, it does "suck" to be broke. At the same time, you must learn how to save, and maintain good credit. It is vital to your success. I applaud you for having another business on the side, but you need at least 3-5 income streams flowing in your life at all times. Please read Robert Allen’s book, "Multiple Streams of Income." It opened my eyes to diversifying my income.
