It does not matter if it was in a drunken rage. It sounds like you are trying to excuse him. I think you are thinking, because he was drunk, this is why he did that, But otherwise he would never do that. Please dont kid yourself. Once your spouse/boyfriend has overstepped that boundary, he will do it again. Especially, if you did not take any actions for his behaviour the first time. He is going to think he can get away. If he hasnt already done so, he will probably cry and say I am sorry. Please don't fall into that trap. If you do you will probably forgive him and think wow he is so sweet for apologizing, then the next time he is drunk, and who knows maybe he might just do it, cuz he didn't like what you cooked for supper. He will do it again. Spare yourself a life of heartaches and get out of this relationship. You are not only dealing with abuse, but also a man who has a problem with alcohol. It is quite obvious that he does. Seek help, before it is too late. The longer you stay in this relationship, the harder it will be for you to leave. I hope that you do not have children. They are the ones that will ultimately suffer. Good Luck.

Run don't walk to the nearest exit and get the hell out of there. This man is abusive and an alcoholic. Not a healthy combination. Get out now, call 911 if you need help.
How horrible.

Oh come on! What a completely asinine and moronic question. If you find it necessary to ask this question then you deserve anything that "man you adore" dishes out.
If you don't have a Last Will and Testament...I'd get moving on one now.

Being Drunk is not an excuse to throw someone down the stairs. This is a sign of things to come. If you stay you will end up severly abused or dead.

Pack his stuff and put it out in the street. Then I would call the cops on his sorry abusive butt.
There is no excuse for abuse, and being drunk doesn't make it OK or any less harmful than if he was sober. If he'll abuse you drunk, he'll abuse you sober eventually.

I would try not to piss him off again while he is drinking. Unless you like tumbling down the stairs.
