do a complete virus scan, spy ware and add ware

If no viruses, trojans, spyware then:

If your PC is several years old, then you probably need to reinstall the Operating System. After a few years of use, they can become clogged down and files become corrupt.

It will costs $60-$80 at a computer shop.
