first it's not stretching tendons causing this type of pain. this type of burning sensation with pain is caused by nerve pathways being pressured. when a nerve pathway, ending, root get pinched or pressured it can cause several different affects. pain, burning sensation, even stabbing pain, aches, etc. You might try a lotion on the skin if it's an area of the skin and motrin is also safe to take. both are safe to use while you're pregnant. inform your doctor and inquire about stretching classes for expectant moms. These classes will help you learn how to position your body to relieve pressure on organs, your spine, and pretty soon your bladder. congradulations on the new one and take care,
Courtney

Your baby might be leaning on a nerve or muscle, or you could be sitting a little off centre without realising and might be straining a muscle or something. I used to get bad pains around that area too and it ended up being my daughter pushing her foot up into my ribcage. At first I used to only feel it when I was sitting too. If it's worrying you or the pain is too bad, better to check with your doctor

It is the skin and the tendons stretching. My daughter is due on January 19th and she was having those pains so bad that her doctor told her to get a pregnancy support belt. We went to Babies-r-Us and got her one and she feels so much better now. You should try one of those. It helps to support the baby and relieves the lower back pain too.
