First of all both men and women will worry about trivial things and these things may not seem trivial at the time. Men can be very critical of women's weight aswell as other women. It is not easy for women to feel accepted by society, when we are pressurized into looking and acting a certain way, since a very young age. I find football scores, worrying about penis size and beer drinking contests pretty trivial.....................

Because they love their men and don't want to let them down by having no interest in their appearance or just cos there silly, I got past all those daft things long ago, too old to worry about the little irrelevances these days, my hubby loves me for me thank god.

It's because this is the way most females have been raised to have a over obsession on looks and how them come look to other people ( mainly the opposite sex) that this has just became the right thing to do ( not that I think it is )

Well men worry about irrelevant things too - like sports statistics, for one. And how much porn they can cram into one day. Oh and how big and thick their weiner is - that seems to cause a lot of angst.

It's the same reason guys worry about the starting half-back on their fantacy football team. It's promotes a positive self-image, even if the cause of the self-image is trivial.

I don't really think they worry that much about these things but that in fact they take pride in their appearance.
Men are more obsessed by these trivial things as they are the ones who constantly remind women that they must take care of themselves!!
Maybe you should rethink your question

i dont worry about such things as my broken nail.but my fella does.I dont worry about eating chocolate as I'm lucky wieght wise,unlike my fella,he's just beginning to worry about a bit of 'relaxed muscle', I tend to worry more about household stuff,shopping and money..I guess in our household its my fella what worries about irrelevant things..

Women who worry about such trivial things are the women who worry about what others think of them.
However, if she was secure with herself and self-confident, she wouldn't worry about what anyone thinks of her. :-)
Oh wait! You associate with teen girls, right? Gah! Next time mention it. Btw, I agree with Jackie. If a gal worries incessantly about such trivial matter, she should be shot in the face, ha ha!!
