You know i really resent that some of you think that not having health insurance means we dont have jobs. I have a job but not insurance and tried to get insurance and it would be 1/4 of my income before taxes. I cant afford that esp since I am young and well. We need national insurance that everyone pays for on a sliding scale according to their incomes. Just had to add for the guy who doesnt want my health insurance to be paid with any of his money consider this; if i have no insurance and get sick I go to the ER , they treat me and pass the cost on to you. Would you rather I pay for insurance or you pay for my visit to ER? And why would companies offer insurance if everyone is covered? If they dont have to pay for insurance many could hire a few more people.

I do not see this as a 'crisis' per se.
People without health insurance still are able to get health care and medicine, often provided to them for free if they are indigent.
Perhaps all those rich Hollywood leftists should start a massive charity program to provide free health care for those folks. Perhaps they can get billionaire lefty Ted Turner, billionaire lefty George Soros, billionaire liberal Warren Buffet, etc, to pitch in. I'm sure that if they cared, they could make a difference.
But those people without health insurance have NO RIGHT to any of MY hard earned money. It violates my 4th Amendment right - the government cannot take my property ($$) without just compensation. And there is no compensation at all for me here, just a taking of my property.
But you need to consider your position a little more thoroughly. You need to realize that once you open this floodgate, then every company in America will drop health coverage, letting the taxpayer pick up the cost. This consequence should be very evident once you think it through.
TANSTAAFL!

I think you mischaracterize this a "crisis." It's more a crisis when my government starts taking my money because they think I'm too stupid to handle it myself.
The USA has lower tax rates per person--as compared to countries where health coverage is extorted from paychecks by government mandate to pay for mandatory socialized health coverage.
I live and work in a country where health coverage is 7.4% of everyone's gross pay each time they are paid. In comparison, tax rates in the USA are much more than 7.4% lower overall. So the US's approach, ever since individual taxation began, is for government to take as little as possible, thus leaving private individuals with their own money to make their own choices about what to do with it.
In the USA, every person can receive free emergency medical care at any public hospital. Additionally, every county offers free or reduced price health clinics open to anyone.

46.6 million Americans have no private health insurance. This is 15.9% of the population. 13% of the population have Medicaid and subsidized healthcare. Medicaid pays better then my private insurance. Therefore, this is an exaggeration. I believe we need to get the remaining 2.9 insurance. Basically this number has grown due to companies being unable to afford insurance for dependents because of rising costs due to malpractice litigation. Republican plan for insurance: Tort Reform. (There will no universal healthcare without it either). Current Tort Reform: Blocked by Democrats.

Well...pass the immigration laws, that should cut it down to 20 million. Next, require the people on well fare to get a job within 24 months after starting benefits or they lose the benefit altogether. There's another 10 million.

Retard. constantly asking the incorrect question. Why will we % scientific wellbeing insurance in any respect? what's the liberal moron's plan to wrestle skyrocketing wellbeing care expenses that make scientific wellbeing insurance (a great piggy financial company for the wellbeing care industry) a necessity. endure in strategies the days once you could desire to stroll right into a doctor's workplace and pay money? of direction no longer, you have constantly trusted the gov't.

I know that this may sound odd and I may not agree with a lot of stuff that's going on in Cuba but you should read about their health service and the kind of doctors they have there.
