It's great that you want to support your sis;but do you really support her choice? She married your first cousin!! That is INCEST!!!! I think you need to tell your sister to woman up & tell your dad & the rest of the family! If she & her husband are really happy & feel they have done nothing wrong then they should want everybody to know that they are happily married! If she won't come clean then you should! Why destroy your dad's trust in you for a sister who can't even spread the good news she's married? Maybe it's bacause she knows INCEST IS WRONG!!!!! You have to do what is right for you & your conscious. Good luck!!!

I'm not sure there is anything you should do. It is up to your sister to decide to reveal her secret to your family. I think if she feels this strongly about her husband she should be adult about the situation and have a long talk with the family. As far as the other answerer the whole birth defects thing It isnt a real issue science is proving it to be a non issue. Cousins have married throughout history and I don't think they have a significantly higher rate of birth defects that the general population.

There is evidence that first cousins can marry and not produce genetically deformed children. Unless this is a habit in the area they live in, if it has been going on for generations, then birth defects like club foot become rampant.

That being said, support her, but stay out of this between the rest of the family. You are not judge and jury - so there is no need to condemn them.

Tell your dad, he has the right to know. I supposed couzins in love are kinda wacked. Abit. But your dad cares for your sister so much, you should not deprive him of the info. If you tell your dad, get him to talk to your sister. Bear in mind that by telling pops, your not betraying your sister, but holding on to the precious trust your father gave to you.

If they are old enough to get married why do they need the parents permission to get married? I dont get it. Your dad needs to let your sis live her life and make her mistakes (if there are any to be made). She is grown.

Wow, that's a tough one. I think that it's your sister's responsibility to tell your Dad about it. Maybe when he sees that they are happy and doing well he can forgive, but it's really hard to tell.

That's sick. and you should tell your dad cuz he trusts you. They opposed for a reason. They are cousins for gods sake. That's just not right. Can't she find anyone else to love her? Is she that bad...L.
