It took 2 months for my outside wounds to heal and 3 months for the inside to completely heal.
I was using this cold therapy to make my healing faster. What is cold therapy you may ask? Well, you can use a frozen cold pack that you can purchase from any grocery store or Walmart. Or you can purchase a cold therapy machine from the KneeStore. This is the same one I used...and it healed me so much faster than I would have been healed..
Hope this helps you...

I am a mother of two, which both were delivered by c-section. The first one it seemed to take about 4 weeks before I felt back to normal. with the second one, I was pretty much back to normal within 5 days. I am not sure of the full healing time, I think it varies with the person. As far as the muscles go, when you cut them.....they don't go back the way they were! They don't tell you that before hand though. The uterus takes pretty much a year to heal before another pregnancy can safely be carried out.

It took me a good 2 months I think. I can remember still having one side that bothered me more than the other like when I would sit up or something like that. I'm not sure if that is the side they cut the uterus or not. Take it easy is the best advice. Don't lift anything except the baby & don't lift the baby from something low to the ground.

6-weeks although I will be honest with you I had a c-section and It took about two months for the pain to fully go aways and I have no feeling. I had my daughter 4 and half months ago. and was told that it can take up to 3 years for all feeling to come back. I isn't that bad though. After about 2 weeks you can move about normally though it will still hurt.

I had four.....two were vertical and two were horizontal. The vertical were harder. As I got older it got harder to bounce back. The longest it took me to heal was 6 weeks. The shortest was 3 weeks. It depends on your age and how fast you heal up from things. If you get a cut on your hand does it heal up fast? That may kinda help in estimating...don't push things tho because you can cause adhesions or scar tissue to grow inside and wrap around your organs and that really hurts. Then they hafta go back in and cut those all out....ugh. Be careful!

We're going to let you in a little secret. Pregnancy isn't really three trimesters. It's four! Truly, if our culture considered the postpartum recovery period part of pregnancy, we suspect fewer women would feel so overwhelmed by new motherhood. In other parts of the world new mothers are practically worshipped during the first few weeks after giving birth. In India, for example, new mothers are encouraged to stay home and be pampered for 22 days after giving birth. In Holland, new mothers are routinely treated to live-in help (in the form of a midwife) for eight days postpartum. In the United Kingdom, new moms are visited at home six or seven times by a midwife during the first two weeks postpartum. That's standard for a vaginal delivery!
In the United States, we are lucky if we get a single home visit from a nurse, and even that is usually offered only to women who have delivered by Cesarean. Here many women feel compelled to get on with their lives as soon after childbirth as they can. We urge you to consider the first six weeks—or more, if possible—a time when you should be waited on and even exalted. Don't feel compelled to answer the phone every time it rings or entertain every visitor who stops by for "just a minute." (Posting a sign that says "Baby is sleeping" on your front door should cut back on the intrusions.)

My foutrh child was delivered by C- section my staples were out in a week, but the muscles were still swelled and tender at my six week check-up.If you get as much rest as possible it should be no more than 4 weeks. I did not do what i was told, because my child was 2 months early and i was more concerned with her then myself.

wound healing is completed in six to eight weeks from the time of the operation. however, certain factors may prolong this process, such as poor nutrition, infection, poor blood supply to the organs, etc.
congratulations!
