Not a big follower of polls. The only poll I trust is the actual election results. I'm not a big believer in counting my chickens before my eggs hatch, and especially not a person who highly regards someone who crows and gloats about an as yet undecided event.
And, if it does turn out that the Dems do unfortunately regain undeserved power, it is not because of President Bush, who is neither a 'Liar' nor 'War Hungry', but because of their own actions. Their spending, their embrace of increased entitlements, their 'bridge to nowhere', etc, etc - their failure to support the President.
All the aspersions being cast upon Bush are less truth and more propaganda.
But, if the GOP retains control, I'll make sure to come back in here and feed you a little slice of crow and some humble pie.

I don't agree with your assessment of the President. The poles have been predicting Republican defeats ever since 1996 and have been wrong more often than they are right. If the Democrats take control, so be it, watch your paycheck deminish as you have to pick up all the extra tax payments for their idiotic give-away programs. I believe that, should you look up LIAR in the dictionary, you'll see a photo of your darling Billybob Clinton. He lied to the American people and he lied to a Grand Jury and he lied again to congress.

Anything could happen in three weeks. It's more than possible the Republicans will keep the Senate. Hoewever, since the Executive will remain Republican and there will no clear majority (it'll still be close) absolutely nothing will get done. It may turn out to be the best thing for the Republicans in 2008.

I think the polls are slanted because the press definately has a democratic slant and so do the pollsters like Zogby. I have heard reports he apparently is going to be on the next Air America. You will see long lines at the polling places this year. So bring a book.

I think they will waste valuable time by investigating a bunch of the Bush cabinet to get even with the Republicans for the Clinton investigations. Meanwhile, Terrorists celebrate and regroup for another huge attack.

polls-schmolls.when it comes down to really voting the republicans will remain in power.
i have never been polled and i don't know anyone who has.after 60yrs one would think i'd have met 1 person who has.i suspect the polls are only taken on the areas with large population and that is on the coasts bastions of liberalism.
the unwashed masses are never considered important enough or smart enough to know anything.
but we vote.the elite libs talk.

well bush will leave the office anyway, need I remind you that polls are more often wrong then right, they were damn sure kerry was going to win, and damn sure gore was going to, and both lost. I would expect another republican president, weather you want it or not.

Don't blame it all on Bush. In addition to his warmongering and incompetence and extremism, there is an abundance of corruption coming out of Congress, from Duke Cunningham to Mark Foley to the entire Jack Abramoff racket. And there's probably a lot more that's been successfully covered up! This is reason enough to send the bums packing! Bye bye, GOP!
