In my excel spreadsheet I am having formatting problems. In some cells I have zeros and in others there are dashes. How do I get them to be the same. I have tried to copy and paste also checked to make sure the the format cells were the same. I don't know what to do?

It can be either or.....zero's or dashes. Just one or the other.

If the cells have the exact same formatting but some show zeros and some show dashes then it is possible that the value of the cells with zeros is "0" and the value of the cells with dashes is "null" or essentially has no value (i.e. empty). It may also have this result with certain "functions." If this is not the case, then it is very likely that the formatting for the cells is not truly identical.

dash instead of 0 is an accounting format.
If you want the same cell format to apply to a whole column
right clic on the column letter, choose cell format, number tab and select (or create) the format you need
