what province are you in? if alberta...hmmm...i know of many people make a big $$$ in alberta. The oil is HOT right now, and qualified employment is hard to find. I only have a hugh school education...and i could easiliy find a job paying 16 dollars an hour to start, but if i really wanted to, my husband could get me a job at 22 dollar an hour! (but i am a stay at home mom...8 month preg) ALBERTA is where it is at. i dont think you can find that kind of wage in any other province.

Your question is somewhat confusing, since the 'most' you can get is presumeably more than 'average'. I'm guessing you mean 'if I'm willing to do any (legal) job, what could I earn.
Anyway, this gives you _some_ idea of median - or typical - results.
http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/cs/sp/hrsdc/lp/publications/sp-654-09-06/page09.shtml
Scroll to the graph near the bottom of the page titled 'figure 8'.
It basically shows that by age 38 or so, incomes stop rising and are typically just over 60k for university grads, maybe just under 50k for college grads, and close to 40k for high school only.
Obviously some people earn more then that, but I'd suggest there's a lto more upside with university (or even college) as well. College grads are _much_ more likely to be earning 80k then high school only, and a fair number of university grads are well over 100k.
I'll also note that the chart I referenced is for men. Women see an even bigger boost from education - perhaps because men have filled more high paying 'blue collar' jobs in the past, wheras women without education are often stuck in clerical work.
If you start your own business and hire people where you are really a manager, you make what it makes, regardless of degree. If you work for someone else, or are a contractor, your skills and education will have a profound impact on your lifetime earnings.
If you don't want to go to university, there are fantastic opportunities in the skilled trades. A friend of mine is a commercial HVAC technician, he clears 80k/year easily in a job that can never be outsourced, and where more people are retiring then entering the field (true of most skilled trades). HVAC is one of the higher ones, but if you pick up accreditation in any skilled trade, you'll always have an income to fall back on if your dreams of entrepreneurial grandeur don't pan out.

Canada sucks for jobs. If you had a college degree you may be able to move to the US on a work visa. I'm from Canada too, but live in the US. As they say, work hard now and have an easier life later or have an easy life now and have a hard life later. Its your choice.
No University degree usually gives to a regular service oriented job like at McDonalds. And working there, you'll wished you gave it the extra effort to get through high school.
You should be more concerned about giving yourself as many options as possible, instead of concentrating on how much you can make. Not completing high school reduces your options.

It all depends on that person's drive and ambition. There are people all over the world who have started their own businesses and are very wealthy. I don't see why you can't be in the same boat. It's not necessarily what you know but who you know. I only have a high school diploma and an associate's degree from a community college. I am doing very well with what I am doing.
If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Speaking from experience.....not a whole lot!!!! 10-20 years ago you could get a job and work your way up with hard work and a university ed. was not necessary.....but now everything needs university or college education even flipping burgers it seems. Everything in life is so red tape now...I find even those who do have university experience are NOT qualified...being book smart doesnt mean you ARE SMART!!! But if I were you and just starting out...finish high school, go to university or college then get a job and work hard......cause there doesnt seem to be any other way!

High paid does not mean high education. High only concerning one who can make money to the boss valuable or the time being none can do better than his job. Usually one working hard and high educated, will got a better pay. Normally only get minimum pay.

There is no limit. In order to get where you want you need to promote your accomplishments. Focus. I am in Canada. I do not have all my credit. I am an honours graduate in community college. I am making more than I thought ever possible. Just beleive in yourself and you can acheive whatever goal you are aiming for.

A quadragintillion bux a day if they get the right company andposition. The sky's the limit, but obviously the better education you obtain, the better chance you have of finding your way into the upper echelon.

WELL I GOT KICKED OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL BACK IN 2002 DURING MY SENIOR YEAR, AND I GOT MY GED. I TOO WAS REALLY CONCERNED AND ASKING MYSELF THE SAME QUESTION THAT YOU ARE NOW ASKING, BECAUSE I WENT JOB TO JOB MAKING NO MONEY FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS. WELL ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO I GOT A JOB SELLING CARS BECAUSE I HAD TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE SO I FIGURED WHAT CAN IT HURT. WELL IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE BECAUSE ON AVERAGE I HAVE BEEN MAKING ABOUT $4800.00 A MONTH SINCE I STARTED, SO IF SALES SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO; THE CAR BUSINESS IS GREAT.

If the person had been to college, they would probably at least understand that your question doesn't make sense. "Most" and "average" are two distinctly separate things (even in Canada). Could you add some detail as to which thing you really want to know about? Or do you want to know about each?
