The ramifications would be either really good or really bad. There were arguments at a point in our history that the Civil Rights amendment "weakened" the constituion. The US constituion is called a "living document" for a reason. It is not rigid. Additionally, the constitution only applies to US Citizens and some for aliens within the US). For example that's why Guidan was charged with treason through the courts.

By weakening it, it frays the system of laws in the country.
But I also guess it depends on the country and the constitution. Some countries have garbage constitutions, so they aren't losing much.

We here in america no longer have a purpose that is worth persuing .
This has made us all selfish and intrested in our own level of satisfaction without regard to those around us .
The I am better then you because I list has grown in epic proportions .
If you won a spelling bee in the third grade you are a champion speller to this day .
We have given americans what they wanted most .A sense of superiority among others .This is a false sense but non- the less it is interesting to watch people operate under the guize of true believe in ones superiority to those surrounding him .
I have to laugh in order to get through the day and continue to say that in fifty years we will no longer be like this .
Time changes all things and stupidity and the self love of today will be replaced with a more intellectual group and more tolerant group in the future .

Let respect for and adherence to the Constitution erode, and it won't be worth the paper it's printed on. The Soviet Union had a consitution, too, but it didn't matter. The government did whatever the hell it wanted. We are turning into the same sort of system in which the government ignores the rules.

I have read you answers on other questions and you are way too intelligent for these people. I see the point you are trying to get at but obviously you cannot get through to people who have been brain washed.
I know what the answer is.

Extremely serious ones, which is why it's good to have originalists as judges, not activists. Thank you for such a good question, by the way.
