Its Seasons in the Sun.. the part where they say "goodbye Michelle, its hard to die" .. My little sister's name was Michelle and she died in a car accident. Do you have a song that just gets to you?

I'll Be Home For Christmas.

Back in the late 1980's I had to have 16 major abdominal surgeries for cancer. My three children were all under the age of 6 when I had the first operation done. The oldest was 8 when I had the last surgery. I missed 3 Christmas's at home during that time and I wanted to be home with my family so bad for the holidays. I still cry every time I hear that song because it brings back all of those memories of being away from them on Christmas day.

That song by Mike and the Mechanics "In the LIving Years". The second verse of the song says I wasn't there that morning when my father passed away. Ididn't get to tell him all the things I had to say. I thought I caught his spirit later that same year when I thought I heard his echo in my new born babies tear.
I was pregenant with my 2dn child when dad died. We did not always see Eye to eye and when Son #2 was born he looked just like my dad. he still does. I did not hear that song until 3 months after he was born. I was driving and I cried so hard I had to pull over because I could not see.

There are 2 songs that get me everytime, these are The Way We Were (the movie version) - Barbra Streisand. The movie is so sad and so is the song, the movie version starts off with a different sound to the album version of the song. Also Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler. Again the movie is v.sad. I always feel choaked up when i hear these.

Sorry to hear about ur loss. My thoughts are with you.

The one song that really made me cry was actually "First Love" by Stryper. Some of the lyrics go " There is no love, like the love of your first love. It's so true...." It just reminded me of some of my greatest heartache and actually made me cry. It's actually a great power ballad, but not really well known. Everyone tends to know " Honestly" by them though. I like this song much better- it's beautiful.

Amazing by Aerosmith. It just seems that it fits what has happened in my life exactly...and what gets to me is the hard work it was to overcome some things and be successful...expecially when no one thought I could. And then there is always that one about the Christmas shoes...since I work with kids and had one of my special needs children lose their mother....

"The Dance"-- Garth Brooks
It's lyrics say so much in reference to dying, but living life to the fullest while you can. And I know someone that loved that song, and he died in an accident (a fall from a tower). They played the song at his funeral......I still can't hold it together when I hear it.

Hearing Kelly Clarkson singing "A Moment Like This" I am so
happy for her success.
I cry if I try to sing "Country Boy" by Johnny Tillotson. There is a
line in it that says, "You've got mud on your hands and you're not
yet a man. Must be hard to understand, Country Boy. Yes it's hard to understand.........Country Boy

I am really sorry to hear about your sister????:(

A song that makes me and my dad cry would be (My Little Girl) by Tim McGraw because I am a Daddy's girl I can almost talk to my dad about anything! Also another song would have to be (Hurt) by Johnny Cash! That song gets to me too!
