im not against abortion or anything but while reading a few questions today about it i came up with this.....there are so many people in the world who are unfortunate and cant have children, who would love to switch places with a pregnant woman....im upset that some people take abortion 4 granted and use it as a form of birth control..it's really a sad thing..so if you dont want kids get on the pill or dont have sex at all. dont be surprised when you get pregnant because you know this is a risk when having sex....

I agree, abortion should not be used as a form of birthcontrol. If you must have "one" that is understandable in some cases but "two.three and so on" is just crap.... That is when people use it as a form of birhtcontrol. Go get fixed or something. It is sad that sooo many wonderful people can't have kids and this country makes adoption so freaken hard that most couples who do deserve and would be great parents cant adopt anyway.

Well, it's available for people and fairly easy to have an abortion and people take advantage of that. People are also just stupid when it comes to sex. You would think if they didn't want kids they would use protection and get on birth control but nope..they never think it can happen to them. Also, there is controversy over whether or not the fetus is "alive" or something weird. I mean you hear people say that life starts once the baby takes the first breath and others say it starts at conception yet others still say it starts once the fetus is able to survive outside the womb (usually around 23 weeks pregnant). I don't think there is a clear cut defination of what life is and people kind of make up their own...then they use that to justify whether abortion is wrong or right and at what points it's ok to do. Tricky subject if you ask me..but people need to, like you said, protect themselves from pregnancy if they really don't want a baby. I know in instances of rape that's not always possible and for those women my heart goes out but under normal circumstances guys and girls alike need to use more common sense and their better judgement before hopping in the sack together.

I totally agree. One thing that really bothers me is the claim that the the fetus is not human just "mass tissue." "Is this human life?" The answer clearly is Yes. That answer is a medical and scientific one, for we cannot impose a religious or philosophic belief in our nations through force of law. The second question is: "Should we grant equal protection by law to all living humans in our nation?" or,"Should we allow discrimination against entire classes of living humans?" Almost every third baby conceived in America is killed by abortion. Repeat abortions were 20% in 1973 but rose to 44% in 1987. In the U.S., by 1995, 45% of all abortions were repeats and currently has grown to 48%. You also cannot use "population control" as an excuse. Population is not much of a problem in the United States. With a birth every 8 seconds and a death every 11 seconds, the U.S. population is growing at less than one percent per year. As for the issue of rape, pregnancy from rape is extremely rare. As reasons for legalizing abortion rape and incest are nothing more than emotional screens used by those profiting from abortion. Anyway, I'm done ranting. I could probably go on all day.

I agree, abortion should only happen if someone has been raped or sexually abused, or if there is a really big problem with the baby. I am trying to have a baby at the moment and have been told that i might have fertility problems, fair enough i do have three children already but we have always wanted four, I have also had two miscarriages.
I think people are very brave however for having an abortion I could never do it.

Abortion and birth control advice are very tricky subjects, don't be surprised if you get all kinds of responses. But I agree with you, if you don't want to possible responsibility of a baby then take every precaution to prevent it in the first place. There are tons of places that give out free contraceptives, use them! Abortion should be reserved for cases that merit one, not as a form of birth control for people who were careless. But, that's just my opinion and not everyone will see it that way. Be prepared for all sorts of remarks and don't get upset when someone says something you don't want to hear.

don't have sex at all.... well, that's never going to happen. That's like telling a 5 year old not to pick his nose. LoL. I agree though, but you forgot to mention what to do IF you DID get pregnant. I hear that your not against abortion but what about adoption? or foster care to find those perfect parents dying to have a child. The problem is, is that people don't think and when they finally do, it's too late. There are no stupid people on Earth, theirs just stupid actions.

Oh man! I agree with you 110%!!!!

My husband and I tried for four and a half years to get pregnant while we watched all of our friends and even several people who wouldn't be able to raise a dog much less a child get pregnant...I've watched several of those "friends" have an abortion just because it was convenient to them. It really is heartbreaking when there are so many people in this world that really want babies and then there are those that go around not taking responsibility for their actions and taking the easy way out!

Thanks for posting this!

AGREED
But some people will never understand the precious thing it is to be able to bring life into this world. That is life not everyone thiks like us and those are the ones who take even their own life for granted. So all we can do is hope for them that some day they will come around and save these innocent lives that some day can make tomorrow a better place.

I hardly ever read anything on here from people who have used abortion as birth control. 99% of the time when this is mentioned it's by pro-life people ranting about how "some people" use abortion as birth control, but it's like they're just assuming that that's the norm, and I just don't think I'm gonna buy that without looking at statistics.

So...for anyone reading, if you have a source that shows that the percentage of people that have abrotions becuase they had consentual sex without using birth control, please post it!

I'm sure it happens, but I don't think that most people who post on here do it - most people here are pregnant, and probably 90% pro life (which is why ther's so many welfare moms that post on here!)

I'm with you all the way on this one!!!!! I do not agree with abortion at all!! Only in EXTREME cases! It is a life that you are taking. It is innocent of everything. If you can not be responsible enough to prevent it, then you should not be putting yourself in that situation!!! Period! I myself, is one of those people who would love to be a mother! However I can't seem to conceive. Adoption is something I'm think about more and more these days. So please think twice and carefully before you decide to take an innocent life.
