I have a new 2006 car. This morning on my way to work it started making a noise like it was rocks underneath it or something was dragging. I don't know what the hell the noise it but I'm afraid whatever it is may not be covered under warranty. Any ideas on what the noise could be?

Sounds like you muffler Bering has gone out. LOL just kidding look to see if you picked something up like a small branch or piece of wire. If not then have the breaks looked at. A caliper could have come loose.

exciting, sounds too new for a mechanical subject so i could take a hazard at a warped rotor of which a lathe in maximum tire shops could fix. i'm shocked that no mechanic there does no longer have already thought a similar subject till you defined it in yet differently.

Drive it off a bridge...that will teach the car not to make anymore noises!

take a look underneath. It could be anything. It may be something simple. If you dont actually see anything under there. Just take to your dealer and have them take a look.

bumper to bumper warranty doesn't cover things you hit on the highway, but insurance does. Check it out, it might be nothing but it might be serious!
