... with a wholly unnecessary war.

In light of this, why do some people keep repeating that Bush is doing okay considering what he had handed to him? Clinton handed Bush a U.S.A. at peace, and a record in-the-black U.S. economy. That seems like the palette anyone would love to work with if he or she was going to start tomorrow as president. But Bush has messed up what was good and working after Clinton.

So why do people keep saying this obvious misunderstanding of the facts as the truth?

When people feel beleaguered they circle the wagons, and that's what Republicans are doing with their boy Bush. They must be embarrassed with his Administration's consistent record of incompetence.

You need to either wake up or stick your head out of the closet every once in a while. How can you say we were a nation at peace during the Clinton administration. Here's a quick time-line.

1) We were attacked in 1993, World Trade Centers, Ramzi Yousef mastermind. Al-Queda suspected.

2) 1995, Oklahoma city bombing

3) 1996, Khobar Towers US military complex in Saudi Arabia killing 19 Americans, links to Al Qaeda

4) 1998, Kenya, truck explodes near two US embassies killing 224. 4 men linked to Al-Qaeda

5)2000, Yemen, USS Cole hit with boat loaded with bombs, 17 sailors killed. Links to Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden.

All this under the Clinton watch while he was playing in the oval office and having slumber parties in the White House with celebrities for campaign contributions.

These, my friend, are facts of the truth and you'd better start opening your eyes and quite being deceived by the far liberal left. This country was left vulnerable because of the neglect and irresponsible management of the Clinton administration to take care of matters that are most important and that is to protect the United States on any soil from attack.

BTW, the economy is still in good shape thanks to hard working Americans!!!

Are you sure you're writing about the same guy? When Clinton left office the economy was tanking, his great diplomacy with the North Koreans was a flop, his negotiations between the Israelies and the Palestinians was a flop, he'd been impeached for lying to a Federal Grand Jury, the First (worst) Lady had been under criminal indictment, our military was suffering from all the Clinton budget cuts, terrorists were hitting American targets both inside and outside the USA without fear of reprisal, the USA was a punching bag for every two-bit crackpot in the world, Billybob was so busy getting his thing on with Monica that he ignored the offer of Bin Laden's head on a platter and the two of them looted the White House on the way out the door. GIVE ME A BREAK, neat, tidy and solvent. If your own house was in that kind of disorder you'd have been in jail.

Pull your head out of your butt. Are you delusional or what? Clinton had his head up his butt or Lewinsky's skirt for so long, he forgot about national security. Do you realize this country was attack six times under his watch and he didn't retaliate? Do you realize the economy of this country, his last year in office, had gone in the dumper, and all he could do is go out and campaign for his good buddies, or raise money for the democratic party? This man's priorities were so self serving, he had no business in public office.

If there is any way to describe clinton and what he did while in office it is this; he was the master at smoke and mirrors and could read a script better than any Hollywood actor. Do you realize, this man, while in office rarely if ever, uttered a word that was not scripted? So, not only was he just smoke and mirrors, he was also just a puppet on a string.

Clinton didn't pay off the debt, he balanced the budget. There's actually a difference. We were not in the black by definition. However, the deficit is a problem created by Bush. One could easily argue that it was the 9/11 attacks that threw the US in the red. (With the later addition of Katrina) If you think a huge attack like that doesn't trounce the economy and cost the tax payers billions, you're fooling yourself. Additionally, we were never at peace with Clinton. We merely bombed from afar. How can it be peace, when people are bombing our ships and buildings? When we're bombing the crap out of Bosnia? Pulling out of Somalia? There was no peace. That's an illusion you've created.

Bush's economy is stronger than Clinton's. There is real growth (the GDP grew by almost 10% in les than two years). And the increase in the DJIA is the result of real investments, not the multi-level marketing dot-coms that came home to roost prior to Big Bill leaving town.

Every single economic factor is better than under Clinton with the exception of unemployment which is at 4.7% instead of 4.3%.

The deficit, which is less than one year's GDP, has allowed the GDP to balloon, making ther deficit a smaller percentage.

Don't confuse me with the facts. Bush is doing a great job. 9/11, Iraq, Osama caught, Haliburton contracts, a Berlin Wall with Mexico, Katrina. How could anyone top that? The Younger generation has every reason to be hopeful, don't they? "The city fathers are getting ready to endorse, the reincarnation of Paul Revere's Horse, but the town has no need to be nervous."

your facts sound quite a bit like fiction, and badly written fiction at that.

Clinton had nothing sorted, enron screwed up under his watch, the economy was going down hill when he left office. Bush has stabalizzed the economy, with factual data. has made america a safer place, as well as protecting other nations.

why do you advert yourself from the truth

Burying your head in the sand about world activities is not peace. Bombing Yugoslavia is not peace.

Remember that Congress appropriates funds and set tax rates not the President. The Republicans who combatted Clinton were also exercising economic frugality, but now that Bush is President they think spending will help them keep in office.

Clinton didn't leave things neat and tidy.
The Oval Office was covered in stains and nasty.
The Clinton People stole and vandalized the whole White House.
We didn't really have Peace. Clinton just surrendered to the terrorists.
Nice try, foreign boy.

This question is to easy, it is because Rush Limbaugh says so, you see repubes have a mentally deficient outlook, they can not see or think for themselves so they rely on Rush to tell them what to think, that is why when you ask a question on weekends you get a rerun answer.
