I'd like to know all the details. I've got a lot of home-made wine here that's nearly right for drinking and it would be a shame to waste it.

Best of Luck - Mike

I only want to be told if there is something I personally can do to stop it. And since there isn't I guess the answer is no. I want to go on living my life as if everything were normal. With the exception of a few hours so that I can contact my family and tell them all the things I know that I would need to say that I haven't and should, but haven't because life is normal today.

Considering that a NEO is due to pass close in 2032 So you've been told.

I think I'd rather be completely oblivious, but thats not my nature. in 2032 I will be 74 years old. I'd like to see 100 and bounce my great-great grandkids on my knees and tell them of the near miss.

When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

I think we should be told so that we can do all the things we never dared to before, make up with those we have fallen out with, ignore those we dislike & generally prepare ourselves for death.
And no. before you ask, I am not religious. I think that the only thing death brings with it is ...nothing. Oblivion. No afterlife, heaven, paradise. I am too old to believe in fairy stories anymore.

Could you imagine the panic this would cause? I would prefer to be living my life as it is and then boom. I wouldn't want to know of my immanent demise.
