It depends on why.

For myself i had to go to a clinic for help no one could help me well not the people i loved or cared for they were to close.
There are doctors and therapy's that can help but that depends on if your friend wants the help.

The first step is to recognise that there is a problem then to find the right doctor or therapy.

Medication is not always the right thing but a doctor will decide if that is the right way to go in my case i chose not to take medication i had alot of therapy and it helped me more than i thought it would.

The help will not take away the problems but will teach you how to deal with things and to understand why things happen.

Most importantly be there let your friend know that you are there when they decide to talk don't pressure her/him that makes the situation worse.

I hope your friend has the will and strength they need to recover because before things get better they will get worse and once they hit bottom and that can happen the only way is up like i say when they need a bit of strength a push let them know you are there.

Well during mine, my friends just knew that when I called at 2 or 3 in the morn to "just talk and cry" they had to listen! I would do the same for them. They were there for me no matter what and that is all you can do. Reassure them they mean alot to you and you will always be there for them.

Most importantly get them to a doctor/emergency room. The other thing you need to do is get them to talk about whatever is bothering them. Somethig is on there mind so heavy that is causing other emotions to trip out. Be careful and good luck!
