I assume that you have damaged your credit and are having a hard time renting an apartment. I know of no apartment rental companies that promote "second chance rentals", however there are options available.

If you try to rent an apartment in a large apartment building or complex, you can be assured that the property management company will run a credit check on you. The trick is to rent from a small landlord.

There are many landlords that own just a couple or at the most several apartment/rental units. These are the duplexes and four family buildings that are scattered in neighborhoods of almost any town of any size at all. These landlords usually do not have access to credit bureau information. They may ask you to fill out a rental application form that they bought at the local "Office Depot" store, but in the end, they usually rely on their ability to judge people on the spot before renting. If you have a job, a security deposit, and stick to these small landlords, you won't have any trouble at all renting an apartment.

Good luck with your search for a place to live.
