Imagine you are a successful actor and are raking in the $$$. But that's just not good enough. So you decide to not pay the IRS for about 6 years or bother to file to file a tax return. Then you hire an accountant who has had a history of cheating on taxes on the behalf of their clients; and they somehow get you a $hitload of cash in bogus tax returns.
Sure, paying taxes sucks @ss, but we all have to pay; including celeberties.
In case you haven't heard, Wesley Snipes has been indited on several tax evasion charges including 6 counts of failing to file a tax return. He now has a warrant out for his arrest and faces 16 years in the pen. He made a gangload of cash, so why did he need to bilk the system for more money.
Is this stupid or what?!

I'm really disappointed in Wesley Snipes. With all that money couldn't he affford a tax agent or accountant. I think some people just think of the present and not of the future at all. Not a good look and not a good role model for young people who admired him. They bought the tickets that made him successful and gave him all that money and he owes them to at least show them a bit of responsibility.

I think it's actually pretty smart. Why pay taxes and give all your money to the IRS when you can keep it for yourself? As for jail time, what would they give him? Six months actual time in the slammer? He is a star. Plus he's black. Whatever time he spends in the slammer it would be worth about $1000 per minute, so I don't think he has much to worry about as far as that goes. What he has to worry about in the slammer is pretty boys wanting to be his close friend.
He's probably living is someplace like Dubai right now.

I heard about that this morning on the radio. how stupid can celebrities be? even though you're a celebrity, you still have to pay taxes and what not. I guess Wesley thought he was exempt from paying taxes...lol

I guess all that is is greed!! he thought he could beat the system and got caught up!! now he's hiding cause he knows that was a stupid thing he did! and he will be found soon enough!
