He is British, thus better educated than us americans.
He runs one of the greatest cities in the EU, which has a better education, social, and educational system.
London is a great city to visit!

I like him. Always have, ever since he banned goldfish as prizes in London funfairs, way back before Mrs Thatcher broke up the GLC and kicked him out of office.
He's a bit misguided sometimes, such as the controversial stuff with Gerry Adams, and I HATE that new statue in Trafalgar Square; no disrepect to the lady concerned but I think pregnancy should be a private matter, what will her child think? And I bet it's offended a few 'minorities', something I'd think Ken would care about, but anyway, his heart's in the right place, he seems honest and straightforward, and he made our fantastic London museums FREE entry, so he gets my vote.

I think he does a good job for the most part. He's very undiplomatic, but at least that shows he's got a personality and isn't a New Labour clone. As a pedestrian I couldn't be happier about the congestion charge - there are too many cars! All he has to do now is tax Chelsea Tractors (4x4 vehicles).
To answer your second question, he gets to be Mayor of London because I and loads of other people voted for him.

I nearly crashed switching lanes to avoid his red ken charging zone. Later I found out about a little loophole to escape the charge. I still hate him very much though.
Muslims like him I think, but Jews don't because he's anti-semetic. Communists should also like him

I do. I think he speaks a lot of sense, in between the odd idiotic remark! I tend to think that a city will get the mayor it deserves, but I live in Manchester.

I think he does what he thinks is in the best interest of London, not what will make him popular. That probably makes him the nearest thing to an "honest politician" that we have in the UK.

Yes I do, he is a great bloke, he believes in himself and his ability to get things done. He comes over in conversation as a real charmer, that has probably helped him along the way. Ladies like him. Long may he continue to be in public service, a super guy.
