minutae means the very little details of something. In some cases it can be referred to as being the useless things around a topic or an object but if you take something historical the minutiae can make all the difference in dating

How is the word "minutiae" pronounced?
What it means:
The first syllable is pronounced like the word "my", the following "nu" is like the word "new". The "t" sounds like the "sh" in "ship", "she", and "shape". The second "i" is pronounced like the "i" in "bit", "pit", and "sit", and the "ae" in the final syllable sounds like the "ee" in "bee", "see", and "knee". The main stress is on the second syllable. This is how the British pronounce the word; the Americans, on the other hand, pronounce the first "i" like the "i" in "pit", "bit", and "sit". "Minutiae" is a word that is mostly used in formal contexts.
When you talk about the minutiae of someone's daily life, you are talking about the minute details; the very small and unimportant details of the individual's daily life. The singular of "minutiae" is "minutia".
